“meimei”の由来は、「命名」からきています。 全ての人やモノには名前があります。 授かった名前はその人を表すもの。私達は、授かった名前を大切にして欲しいという想いから“meimei”をスタートさせました。

文字の書体は木簡といい、約3000年前のもの。 勢いがあり途中で切った様な線質が特徴で、まだこの先も続くという意味があり、 これを人の未来と掛けました。

名前に意味を持たせ、授かり、大切にする事は人の文化です。 そして人は常に自然と共にあるということから、花を添え、文字と１つにする事により、共存を表現しています。

“meimei” comes from a Japanese word 命名（mei mei; means naming something）. Everything  has a name and the moment the name is given, name would be part of who you are forever. “meimei” was started for people to realize how their names are all meaningful and precious.
